It is the time of the year when the best individual players in the English Premier League are recognized by their peers, journalists and fans for the fine form they sustained throughout the domestic campaign, Glintz TV analysts have come up with a shortlist of 5 standout players from the season that could possibly walk away with the highly coveted PFA player of the year award.

The in-form Manchester city attacker has been showing signs of improvements every season since his move to the Ethiad. His goal contributions have been a significant factor in his rise, he has been immense throughout this season having never attained this level of consistency in his footballing Career.

He scored hatricks in two successive games prior to the game against Fulham. He has contributed to 24 goals in the league, scoring 15 and assisting 9. Sterling is a front-runner for the PFA player of the year award, as he has been arguably the best City player this season.

Standing tall at 6ft 4in, the towering Liverpool defender has gone on to silence his early big money critics with some scintillating and vehement commandeering of the Liverpool defense; who are on course to surpass a club(Liverpool) record of most clean sheets in a single season (22 in 05/06) and least goals conceded (25 in 05/06).

Coupled with his defensive contributions, the Dutch centre back has put in some man-of-the-match displays winning the December Player of the month award in the process, the most recent by a defender since 2013. He also showed his attacking side in the 5-0 mauling of Watford in February where he shipped in two goals.

Arguably the best player in the Premier League, the 28 year old attacker has put in more MOTM performances for Chelsea this season than any other player in the top 6.

With an average of a goal in every 2 league starts, Hazard is on course to finish with the most goal contributions in the premier league with 13 goals and 11 assists (24). No player in the league has more goal contributions than the Belgian at this point.

“KUN” as many know him as is once again leading the line for city like he’s done in previous seasons since his move to the Premier league. He’s been one of the standout performers for Manchester city which also sees him lead the race to the Premier league top scorer.

His back to back hatricks vs two of the top 3 London teams at Etihad was the main highlight in February winning him the player of the month in the process. He has been more present this season than any other one with his fewest injury lay-off since he arrived to the Epl. If he keeps up with his goal scoring exploits there’s a big chance he finally gets the ever elusive PFA player of the year award come May.

The 26 year old Senegalese star having joined Liverpool Football Club in June 2016 for a transfer fee of 34 million pounds has gone on to prove to be a key member of the club. Having made 30 appearances so far scoring 17 goals and 1 assist, Mane’s goals have so far proven mostly to be match winning goals for the Red outfit as they bid to tussle the trophy from the grip of their rivals man-city and win their first premier league title, if Mane can add to his already accumulated 5 man of the match awards and put in remarkable performances, Liverpool have a shot at winning the league.

If he successfully pulls off this feat with the red half of Merseyside, he will be sure to attract big suitors in the summer with Madrid looking to be in pole position.
